isn't mass the the only source of energy

what are you guys working on ur phd's or do you already have them! could we please get down to basics for a moment. does a photon have mass? how can a photon create energy if it has no mass? don't you need mass to create energy e=mc squared. is there an equation which relates a photon to energy?
