Fukushima Fukushima Management and Government Performance
"The Japanese did not become a world economic power through stupidity or laziness and it seems a little insulting for us to be arguing about whether they are being abused by their employers. " But it is the country where Fukushima happened. Fukushima is as bad as it is because TEPCO was...- desertlabs

Explosion at nuclear plant Marcoule
Alright...that's amusing the way you put it. But seriously, I only meant that since people are concerned, why wouldn't they report levels for a week or so?- desertlabs

Japan Earthquake: Nuclear Plants at Fukushima Daiichi
Okay. I'm hesitant to ask this, but what are the significance of these levels which are so "old"? What is the context with respect to today? Why isn't the power curve more steep? Am I unrealistically impatient? An intellectual exercise is great, but do we have enough information in the www...- desertlabs

Japan Earthquake: Nuclear Plants at Fukushima Daiichi
Not an expert, however, just because the dew-point may enable better visualization of the "steam" does that mean the ongoing release is not "important"?- desertlabs

Japan Earthquake: Nuclear Plants at Fukushima Daiichi
I'm sorry, but this is sending me 'round the bend. Am I wrong or was the "initial" estimate of 370,000 becquerals for the MONTH following the "accident", and the new estimate of "double" is for the first WEEK after the "accident". So what is it now 6/9...I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.- desertlabs

Fukushima Why is Fukushima nuclear crisis so threatening?
It is an "old" article, however, the conclusions were prophetic and, as far as I know, nothing stated has been factually challenged.- desertlabs

Fukushima Fukushima radiation detection and measurement
I am trying to understand the monitoring instrumentation and data generated. This forum is fascinating, but most of it way over my head. Questions: 1. Is the federal government using instrumentation that is adequate or designed to provide the information regarding radiation fallout from...- desertlabs
