What is the identity element in abstract algebra groups?
(e-A) must equal something else and not A. Moreover it must equal something such that the union of (A-e)=A with (e-A)=X is A U X=A. I am sure you are aware of such a set =). It can't be undefined or else were breaking the conditions of what it is to be a group. A and e are elements of the group...- DizzyGillespie

First, thanks for the replies everybody. Yeah, cooper actually offered physics as a major up until the 70's. Hmm, I took a look at their catalogue and saw some physics classes on it that i would be interested in taking, but i hadnt really thought there would be a problem taking them. I guess I am just going to go to the accepted students assemblies and hopefully one of the schools will just be a lot less attractive than the other. What kind of courses did you enjoy so much as...- DizzyGillespie

Other Becoming an Engineer: Considerations and Personal Experiences
Ok. So I am having the same kind of internal conflicts about college as everyone else in this post. Math has been a passion of mine since as long as I can remember. In 10th grade I took my first physics class and my first calculus class. They were both equally exciting I can do a major in...- DizzyGillespie

Need help with satellites and Kepler's Laws
The force acting on the satellite is also the centripetal force. F-mv^2/R and F-G(M*m)/r^2. that should help you find the mass of the planet. right?- DizzyGillespie
