What Is the Future of Cars and Petrol?

No, because water, unlike petrol, is not a source of energy. However It can be used to store energy by splitting it to hydrogen and oxygen.

High School Running in the Rain: Mythbusters Results & Sun Rays

It actually depends on a direction of rain. If a direction is straight downwards then obviously by running you would collect more water than standing still. Since if you are running you would collect not only rain drops that are falling from above but also the once in front of you.

How to Calculate Projectile Direction and Timing to Hit a Moving Target?

x_f=x_i+v*cosA*t y_f=y_i+v*sinA*t+1/2*g*t^2 That is all you have to know. Where x_f - final position, x_i - initial position, A - angle with horizzontal axis, g = 9.81, v - velocity. To deal with 3-D the projectile has to be poited in the target's direction.

Understanding Capacitance: Answers to Common Questions Explained

For the second one. The charge does not change but the capacitance does change since you decrease the distance between the plates. From Q=V*C you can see that in order for charge to stay constant, voltage has to increase in order to accommodate decrease in capacitance.

Understanding Capacitance: Answers to Common Questions Explained

The formula for parallel plate capacitor is C = E*A/d where A - area of the plate, d - distance between the plates, E - constant. Use this equation and Q = C*V for both problems.

Is my monitor making me go blind?

Check the frequency of your CRT monitor. If it is 60Hz then that is the problem. Recommended frequency is >75Hz. To reduce strain on your eyes increase the frequency and reduce brightness.

Rotational Dynamics on a door knob

Energy equals force times distance. 0.1 = F*ds where ds = (pi/3)*R, pi/3 is 1/6 of revolution. As you said T = F*R, So now you have 3 equations and 4 unknows one of which would cancel out. I hope it is helpful.

A Place in the Sun: Cornell Solar House Auction April 7

I am guessing angle can be adjusted depending on a position of the sun. During a hurricane panels can be lowered to horizontal position.

How does the BMW turbosteamer concept work and what challenges does it face?

Does not portion of engine's torque has to be used to generate power for these systems? All I am saying is why not to use thermal energy to provide power for this systems. So engine itself does not have to lose some of its power. Can you really use antifreeze in steam engines?

How does the BMW turbosteamer concept work and what challenges does it face?

I think it would be more logical to use power produced by steam turbine to recharge battery and to provide energy to other components. This way all the power produced by ICE can be dedicated to providing torque to the wheels. Using this design problem of torque synchronization can be avoided...
