Vibration related: Rigid body modes
Hi, everyone. I'm required to complete an open ended analysis of the following problem: http://imagefrog.net/show.php/146581_image.png http://imagefrog.net/show.php/146581_image.png I'm not requesting a solution, I'm only looking for assistance in relation to determining the spring stiffness...- Doctor_Doom

Fitting Nonlinear Data to a Linear Equation: Manual Calculation Process
Hey guys I'm completing an experiment and I'm required to extrapolate data by performing nonlinear curve fitting. I have 3 sets of data: (x1, y1); (x2, y2); (x3, y3). I'm required to fit the above mentioned sets of data to the following equation ...- Doctor_Doom

HELP Derive Newton's Law of cooling
Hey guys was hoping someone could give me a hint for the derivation of Newton's Law of cooling stated in the following equation form:http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/3143/a6e5a27835e9e5738016606.png http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/8728/75784887.jpg Thanks in advance!- Doctor_Doom

(CHALLENGING )Trigonometry / geometry proof
(CHALLENGING!)Trigonometry / geometry proof Hey guys I've spent a couple hours on this without even coming close. I'm hoping someone here can drop me a hint. From the above image I need to proof that GL is R(THETA) in length. The only other information I have is that GT extended is a type of...- Doctor_Doom

Steam table data vs experimental : Why the difference?
There is only calibration tables available, which in a way acts as an 'offset'(but I applied them). The funny thing is I can't find any historical conditions / equipment that was used to produce the steam table data points. Can anyone post a link of the conditions and equipment used at the time...- Doctor_Doom

Dryness factor / vapor quality relation to Pressure
Hey guys! Just wanted to inquire about the following relationship. Given a boiler and all the water content inside is above boiling point. Would the dryness factor (vapor quality) decrease or increase with pressure reduction. Example we start at 500 kPa then move down down to 400 kPa. Would the...- Doctor_Doom

Steam table data vs experimental : Why the difference?
The calibration was done by a resistance correction chart.(The temperature measurements were done via an electronic resistor). So my question just to repeat it again was : How did "they" assemble the steam tables? Under what conditions? And why do my results differ by 4 degrees Celsius ...- Doctor_Doom

Steam table data vs experimental : Why the difference?
Hey guys! Was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm doing a thermodynamics topic and have an issue explaining the following : I conducted and experimental procedure involving a boiler apparatus. (Similar to this one >> http://www.armfield.co.uk/th3_datasheet.html" ) Now the idea was to...- Doctor_Doom
