Graduate Does Time Really Exist? Debunking Common Beliefs
Good point Events are simultaneous and also in succession. Cause and effect. It boggles the mind to think back to what could have started the first event that caused this 'simultaneous succession'. Could we even consider that there could BE such a naming phrase?- donnie

Do People Perceive the World Differently?
Hi Nice answer: I think that posing the question in a specific way will help others to view it clearer: How does Person A and Person B feel the world to be? This makes allowance for both your views on the topic: that the world is the same but is viewed differently by person A and person...- donnie

Homicide Statistics by Race & Gender
Isn't there also a possibility that the simplest explanation is the best explanation? Like the fact that it just comes down to sheer numbers, that give the impression of high statistics? One also needs to consider that the social relationship in respect of the proximity of numbers, i.e. people...- donnie

Homicide Statistics by Race & Gender
Hello everyone This I'm sure is not entirely true. Just another of a hundred ways of looking at research results. Has anyone considered the level of influence of white-collar criminals to the levels of homicide? Interesting.- donnie

News Is the Definition of Sexual Harassment Too Narrow in Today's Workplace?
It's unfair if someone is sued for any type of verbalisation, no matter how crude it is. And it's an even more unfair system of justice that will allow that case to take place. Just think, I can hall Brad Pitt into court for just saying a swear word to the camera in a movie I saw last week at...- donnie

News Is the Definition of Sexual Harassment Too Narrow in Today's Workplace?
Hey everyone Just joined.. Thought this is a 'cut and dry' case, but isn't frm the looks of it. It's interesting how different gents and ladies see this topic. I agree SH is about body language, tone, etc. But it's also about CONSISTENCY. 'Harrassment' refers to unwanted behaviour from...- donnie

Undergrad Special relativity - please can someone clear this up?
This might look strange, but, I have the view that, in analysing physics, and as in all other cases of assessment, it's human nature to focus on the PROCESS getting to a desired outcome and not the ELEMENTS/DYNAMICS AFFECTING the OUTCOME? If I was a child trying to understand these concepts...- donnie

Undergrad Is Perpetual Motion Truly Impossible or Simply Misunderstood?
The expansion of the universe naturally happens through destruction and then rebirth. Perpetual, in my belief, implies 'transformation'. If we are able to harness the dynamics that guide 'transformation' I previously mentioned, then I think we may have it. Eternal, Self-sustaining energy... -
