    Graduate What Is the Casimir Effect and Its Relation to Vacuum Energy?

    Can anyone explain the casimir effect to me? I've only just got back to reading parallel worlds and it's mentioned quite a lot, yet i have no idea what it is. Though i think it may have something to do with vacuum energy.
