Undergrad Troubleshooting Limits: How to Solve \frac{0}{0} Error
I think you factored the top wrong... I get (x-3)(x-1)... that should help you out, because I believe when you cancel (x-3) with the (x+3) on the bottom you get -1. I think. -

[Freak] `Hurricane` Heading Toward Southern Brazil
Yes it was indeed a very odd occurrence. I'm not even sure if it would be called a Hurrican down there, but for lack of a better name... also, it was about the intensity of a weak Hurricane would be up here (65 - 75 knots), and it unfortunately did hit Brazil. From what I read on CNN.com, 2...- Embermage

How Does Atomic Theory Explain the Increase in Resistance with Temperature?
I have a problem in my book, "Using the atomic theory of matter, explain why the resistance of a material should increase as its temperature increases". I can't think of one way that the two relate, but that could be because I don't fully understand what resistance is (on a molecular level)...- Embermage

Electrical Potential Energy Problem
Hello, I've been trying and trying to do this problem for quite a while now, and I can't seem to get an answer which agrees with the book. I figured that one metal sphere would then end up with a charge of 10^13 electrons (so I multiplied that by 1.60x10^-19 to get the charge of all the...- Embermage

Undergrad Discover the Hubble Ultra Deep Field: Deepest Portrait of the Visible Universe
Just a quick clarification: the picture shows what the universe may have looked like billions of years ago because of the speed of light and the distance it has to travel to get to the Hubble camera? So in essence, the other galaxies may be more developed now, but they don't appear so to us...- Embermage

What are the implications of time travel in popular culture?
Technically, since he says that he was born in 1998, wouldn't that mean that he is alive and living somewhere in... Florida... right about now? Now, if he did give us his real name, which I doubt is true, would he be traceable? Just some random thoughts from the peanut gallery.- Embermage
