Hi afpskierx,
Have you find the u_2 by doing interpolation? I got the answer for u_2 = 3047.35 kJ/kg
At state 1, I don't quite understand with the question which stated that that mass of saturated mixture of water is 12kg.
So, I assume the quality, x = mass of vapour / total mass. You...
Hi Jow,
For your first question, you can't simply neglect the weight or the mass of the book because its already clear that F = ma.
Its already stated that mass is related to acceleration (gravity).
Every single things are not perfect. They will come with pros and cons. With this kind of competition, I would go for TORQUE.
Put it this way, just imagine a big truck can carry a load that heavier than its weight. Even it move at low rpm but still can pull its load with high torque.
In your...

Thanks for your answer. And yes, I'm talking about the engine air filter (not the air-conditioning filter).
By the way, I'm counting the amount of air velocity/volume just before the air pass through the MAF sensor. In other word, the air flow into the filter. ***sorry for my bad...
Thanks for your detail explanation. From your words, you saying that the air moving at 40 pounds per minute, it means that was the mass flow rate isn't? So that, if convert to SI unit it will be 0.3023949 kg/s.
***correct me if I wrong*** :blushing:
Hello guys,
I just came out with a new idea for my thesis project which is to improve the air filter system (drop-in type).
Currently I doing some basic analysis based on the current stock air filter before I proceed to my prototype air filter system.Says, I've been given an air filter which...
