Homework Statement
Show that (1+i) is a root of the equation z4=-4 and find the other roots in the form a+bi where (a) and (b) are real.Homework Equations
Using De Moivre's Theorem
zn=[rn,nθ]
Modulus(absolute value of z) = 4
Argument = ?
The Attempt at a Solution
r4=4 → r = (4)^(1/5)...
Hello I'm studying complex numbers for class and the question is stated as:
Let z=1+2i
Find:
a) 1/z^2
b) 1/z^3
I was thinking just to multiply by the conjugate (1-2i)^2 for (a) and similarly for (b).
Would that be correct in solving it?
i understand that..but in the solutions. the equation was
F - 20 = (20/32.2)(60)
F=57
They took 20 on the left side to automatically be lbf even though it was originally lbm
Homework Statement
Determine the force necessary to accelerate a mass of 20 lbm at a rate of 60 ft/s^2 vertically upward.Homework Equations
How do you properly account for weight?
What exactly is pound force?
How do you go from pound mass (lbm) to pound force (lbf)?
