Undetermined beam problem supported by three different springs

It won't work. Probably this problem refers to "Beams on elastic foundation" and should be solved differently like in http://www.me.ust.hk/~meqpsun/Notes/Chapter4(202).PDF

Undetermined beam problem supported by three different springs

Hi, Yes. This is an easy task to do, but gets much more complicated when the beam is not considered as a rigid body

Undetermined beam problem supported by three different springs

Thanks. I know this article, but it isn't enough. Because when you have more than a single spring in the system there is also a rigid body movement of the beam involved and this somehow makes the solution much less intuitive and complex. There are articles on a non-uniform, flexible foundations...

Undetermined beam problem supported by three different springs

Thanks. But if I ignore the springs elasticity and just calculate the deflection between the supports I now need to add the deflection in each of the supporting points (because they are elastic). I can't just calculate the deflection of each point due to the calculated reaction because the...

Undetermined beam problem supported by three different springs

Hi, I thought it would be an easy one but it isn't... I am trying to solve the problem of a beam supported by three different springs with a uniform distributed load:
