Physics Accelerator Physics - A field where jobs go begging
I am also planning to pursue my MS in Physics (specializing in accelerator physics). Could you share your experience or your current status?? Would love to hear about it.- ersa17

Physics Job prospects for accelerator physics
Thanks for the suggestion. Although I am not really interested in medical field, I like the idea of designing medical particle accelerator. I might not take medical physics as my major, but I might take some courses on medical physics as well. I want to keep my field open for different...- ersa17

Physics Job prospects for accelerator physics
For a while, I was thinking about pursuing my Master's in physics specializing in accelerator physics for the reasons that, one, it seemed quite fun because it was a mixture of physics and engineering both and I could learn a lot of cool things to do with the particle accelerator(both in...- ersa17

Undergrad Why does time dilation only affect one of the twins?
Now I believe that I have somewhat understood it. Because of the different worldline, they're traveling in and t ≠ t', even though both the observers see the other observer's time slowing, B is still younger than A. If t = t' then this would have contradicted(or hadn't been possible).- ersa17

Undergrad Why does time dilation only affect one of the twins?
I am more confused by the theory of relativity as I start thinking about it. I have a question and it might sound silly but please, correct me if I am wrong. Suppose, A and B are twins where A is at the Earth, and B is moving on a spacecraft at a speed near to the speed of light. In this...- ersa17

Computational projects in Accelerator Physics
I really appreciate your reply. I am not sure about my particular interest but both beam dynamics and technological aspects seem interesting to me. Haven't gone into depth of any. I have just taken a few courses available online. About the accelerator physics code, do we need to write actual...- ersa17

Computational projects in Accelerator Physics
I am aware that accelerator physics is not related to nuclear physics or particle physics. I am interested in this field because it focuses mostly on computation, engineering, and physics. I have applied to a few schools in USA and Canada offering an accelerator physics program. Unfortunately...- ersa17

Computational projects in Accelerator Physics
Hello. I am not sure if this question is relevant to be asked here but anyway please help me if possible. I have just completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Physics and I am interested to pursue my MS in accelerator physics. Since I haven't taken any course in accelerator physics, atomic...- ersa17
