Undergrad How to Find the Derivative of y=x^y When y is Not Expressed in terms of x?
Since y does not equal f(x), y can not be expressed in terms of x. We would have to express x in terms of y. Of course, it would be much better if the equation was x=y^x, then it can be expressed as y=x^(1/x). -
Graduate Will string theory ever be proven wrong?
As far as proof is concerned, it can't even be proven right. All they have is the math formulas, that's why some physicians consider it a metaphysics theory rather than physics theory.- fffbone

Undergrad How to Find the Derivative of y=x^y When y is Not Expressed in terms of x?
I was looking for something more like this: x'=y^(1/y)*(1/y^2-ln(y)/y^2). I solved it though, guess just got stuck for a minute. -
Undergrad How to Find the Derivative of y=x^y When y is Not Expressed in terms of x?
Not quite the answer I was looking for, but thanks any how. I already know how the problem is solved. -

Last Emperor of China: Epic Movie & Mysterious Life
It was indeed remodeled a few hundred years ago. But it is definitely not built 3000 years ago, I believe that is almost 800 years before the Qin dynasty (the first Chinese dynasty). Meaning there weren't even any Emperors at the time. Check yourself, don't get too assertive.- fffbone

Last Emperor of China: Epic Movie & Mysterious Life
Now you're just talking nonsense, Qing dynasty started in 1644, and Ming dynasty started in 1368, as the imperial palace, it can't be more than 600 years old. In fact, the Forbidden city was built in 1625, or sometime around it, I don't remember exactly. You need to refresh your history...- fffbone

News Communism: Is it Pro-Individual or Anti-Individual?
The Chinese made a lot of changes in the last decades, their socialism is a mixture of Marxism, Leninism, and the teachings of several other Chinese Socialist leaders. However, I would say that they've adapted a quasi-capitalist economic policy (most credit goes to western economic influence)...- fffbone

News Communism: Is it Pro-Individual or Anti-Individual?
Communism has always been thought of as the ultimate form of government (by the communists), in which equality and freedom are direct, all oppressions are dissolved. USSR and China PR were not communists, they were socialists, there is a major difference between these two. And yes, you are...- fffbone

Is My New HP Pavillion ze4200's Battery Faulty?
Those computers are either very big or very expensive or both. Any way, I have little doubt they were unsuccessful on the markets. PS: They probably also produce vast heat.- fffbone
