Magnetic Pendulum Mathematica Simulation
Any help? Short of running 400+ calculations to find the y value of the pendulum for each set of x0 and y0 from -2 to 2 in 0.1 steps, I'm lost.- Fuzzletop

Magnetic Pendulum Mathematica Simulation
Homework Statement This is for a lab, which I'm working on at home. There are two parts: using Mathematica to simulate a magnetic pendulum with 3 magnets by plotting the path of the bob and then extend my code to determine where the bob endpoint for all starting positions and draw the fractal...- Fuzzletop

Heat Capacity Power Series Approximation
Thanks! I did manage to get something of an answer. I did so while still ignoring the powers of 3 (I tried to use them at first, but I couldn't get it to work, so I switched back to just up to powers of 2, and I tried this below; I'm sure including the powers of 3 would work equally as well)...- Fuzzletop

Heat Capacity Power Series Approximation
Homework Statement "Derive a more accurate approximation for the heat capacity at high temperatures, by keeping terms through x^{3} in the expansions of the exponentials and then carefully expanding the denominator and multiplying everything out. Throw away terms that will be smaller than...- Fuzzletop
