    I think i understand what you mean they are no longer moving in a strait line upon encountering the sphere and they are moving along its surface in a helix. However, you still haven't provided a question and I'm not sure if you mean to say that they ever leave the sphere and if so did they leave...

    Basically you can just factor everything by x^4 like Mark44 says but then you'd have to factor it out of the constants too and you'll end up with a jumbled mess, which if you then evaluate the limit for you can prove is 0.
