Is it the correct representation of Electromagnetic waves?

Below is the Wikipedia URL shows the shape of EM wave. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/35/Onde_electromagnetique.svg" Electromagnetic laws say that' "changing magnetic field produce electric field and changing electric field produce magnetic field" In the...

    Solving Differential equations

Is there any software packages available to solve Differential equations(first order and second order)? This will be great help for me.

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

Of-course Magnetic fields are the result of time-changing electric fields but Electric Field could not be a separate thing from electron. It is a massless component of electron(or other charge carriers). Plane waves have magnetic field component at a point at a time because there is...

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

I think no one in this thread said that "beam of electrons in a CRT have No associated magnetic field". Electron beam in the CRT is deflected by magnetic coils systems. So magnetic field is definitely associated there.

Hardest EE Class: Student Opinions & Experience

definitely electromagnetic theory but once mastered then all others should come to ground.

    sorry, i cannot understand..

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

..many good explanations...anyway it seems to be a 'heavily' abstract topic. "Fields are thing in our mind" but it exists, it does not have mass, shape, energy but influence of charged particles...

    Solving x1 and x2 with 4 & 5 Equations

can we solve x1 and x2 using the below quations? if so how? 4(dx1/dt)+5(x1)-2(dx2/dt)=10 -2(dx1/dt)+5(x2)-4(dx2/dt)=0

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

I am not looking for any paradox. What I am thinking is, the statement "moving electrons produce magnetic field" is not completely true. May be "Magnetic fields are produced by electron(and proton or other particles whatever that has property of charge) one and only when they are set in...

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

Okay. How it could be? Both the observers cannot see the same effect? The observer in the truck should see the force due to the effect of polarization. The observer in the road should see the effect of magnetic attraction force plus the force due to the effect of polarization..Is it correct?

Do Magnetic Fields Exist in All 3 Cases?

To Doc Al; What would happen if the magnetic compass is replaced by a iron needle. iron needle will not produce any fields whether in rest or motion. So what would it seem for the observer in truck and observer in road. Will the iron needle shows any deflection/attraction to anyone of the...

Magnetic Acceleration: Calculate Force & Distance

Yes, you can calculate the acceleration of the object due to magnetic force(a=f/m). The magnetic force increase as the object moves closer to the magnet which means the magnetic force is the property of space provided by the magnet and is different at different point in space and in turn the...

Is This Scenario Demonstrating Newton's Third Law of Motion?

Newtons II law is applied in cases only if there is acceleration( there must be net force available in a direction). Newton III law is applied in cases involving forces(independent of net force).
