    Is the event horizon of a black hole physical?

    Re: is the event horizon physical ? Just because there is a physical effect on something does not make the Eh physical. Just as if you was to float in space and fall (drawn) in to the sun. at some point the heat will ignite you, burn you, roast, crispy critter. That does NOT make the...

    Zero-point energy + Thermal runaway

    Drakkith thank you for using the same info I used to pose the question. You sadly missed my question. I do thank you for your response tho.

    Zero-point energy + Thermal runaway

    Thank you Kurros. I was asking about (a slow burn) so then the proximity to absolute 0 would have no effect on the rate of the reaction.

    Zero-point energy + Thermal runaway

    IF I am in error, forgive me. but I had this thought cross my mind today. IF absolute 0 is the stopping of all atomic (or molecular) movement. and you induce a thermal reaction, i.e. splitting the nuclei. would the reaction be slowed down at all? (to make a slow burn) Yea. I understand...

    Laser/active medium question.

    I think you are right. I'm not as smart as you all. I like thinking of this stuff I prefer stellar physics. But..I wonder so much about so many things. So I am going to retry asking my question. I pump light in go a argon active medium chamber what i get out is 10 WATS of green beam...

    E=mc question

    I am aware that trek beaming is fiction. but i did not know what the units was. be it per Kg or per atom.

    E=mc question

    175 is the weight in pounds. the converter says 79.3 Kg. took that times C times C and got 2,745,884,520,000. As the reply said that the unit is Kg for mass and Joules for E then it would take 2,745,884,520,000 joules of power to create that 175 pounds. but in transportation (beaming) you...

    Laser/active medium question.

    i presume you are referring to the 10 Wat's. one needs a starting point.

    Laser/active medium question.

    I have no doubt that someone, someone somewhere has tried this. but if you take a 10 WAT output from a argon beam and run it through a Rubie Active medium chamber I would expect that the light would be excited to a higher range. Am I in error?

    E=mc question

    Not that I can. but. at 175 pounds. or 79.37 E=2,745,884,520,000 Joules needed to form M 79.37 we are skipping the facts that it would have to be put together in a sequence to that of a DNA strand. thank you for helping me understand the formula. PF mentor.

    E=mc question

    This is what I was looking for. thank you. on a side note. I thought ℂ= 186,k miles per sec.
  12. G

    E=mc question

    Ok. it does matter. if we are talking 1 wat per pound. or 1gigawat per atom.
  13. G

    E=mc question

    e=energy m=mater c=speed of light Squared. i am not one of you. im a simple joe. so. energy =mater times the speed of light. Times the speed of light. ? or energy=mater times (ℂ time ℂ) ? (aprox 36 trillion) Next question. If we know the formula, what are the measurements? are we talking...

    Request explanation, Please?

    I had this elaborate example all set up to lay my question out. and I can hear my x wife in my head. "you over think everything" So here is my question. I do not understand free falls 93feet/sec /second. this sounds to me that Tim would be doing 279 feet per second after only 3 seconds...

    Why does time require matter ?

    So as mass alters space and time, then the space between two SMBH in a death dance. would weaken the space-time barrier?
