Is There a Simplified Explanation of Physics?

Do you mean mechanics? Which can be explained with energy easier than Newtons laws?

Debunking Time Travel Speculations: The Truth Behind Going Back in Time

I am pretty sure that is the idea of entropy or at least the result of it. It has away of saying time goes one way. And with irreversible processes, you have to put in more energy to get them back to their original state. Pretty cool idea.

Does an Electric Field Outside of a Wire Supply Energy to a Resistor?

Hey, my friend started asking questions about how energy works with circuits, and he linked me this page. I have never heard of poynting fields before. The idea I find most interesting is where the "Electromagnetic energy flows out of the battery and into the empty space around the circuit"...

North pole and south pole of a magnet.

I think it makes sense now. It sounds similar to how polarization works with electricity. I am happy with the answer. This made me wonder if it is possible to have a magnet that is a hollow sphere? Or a closed object that is hollow? I do not think I have seen one.

North pole and south pole of a magnet.

I can understand that the Earth's magnetic field, might be polarised in that direction because of the current inside the earth. But I am not too happy about the idea of getting permanent magnet, and explaining the direction of the poles with the way the electrons are aliened. I do however...

North pole and south pole of a magnet.

So if all the electrons are aligned in the right way, you could make the poles turn up in any place?

North pole and south pole of a magnet.

Hi, I am wondering what determines where these are on a magnetic object. For instance, on a sphere, why should there be a north pole and south pole at points rather than others. To make myself clearer, I am not asking why the south and north are opposite each other, but what determines those...

Ideal Gas Assumptions: Can it Turn into a Liquid?

Nah, yeah that is what I thought. Just was not sure. So does that mean for a monochromatic gas that is near the temperature at which it turns into a liquid, the ideal gas law is not so good?

Ideal Gas Assumptions: Can it Turn into a Liquid?

I was wondering if it assumed the gas could not turn into a liquid?

What air pressure can the human body survive?

So can people breath in liquid oxygen? I mean apart from the fact it is cold, would it be possible?

What air pressure can the human body survive?

I know that you cannot breath if you are under half a meter of water. I mean you cannot use a snorkel because of the pressure on your lungs.

The Mystery of Dry Ice Smoke: Is it CO2?

Does anyone know why you can see the smoke coming from dry ice? Is it actually CO2? It does not make sense to me, why could I see CO2 evaporating, but I cannot see it normally? Is it the moisture in the air that I can see reacting with the cold CO2?

Coherent Light Waves: Interference & Diffraction Explained

Yeah, that makes sense. So if I was to use a non-coherent light source, and did youngs-slit experiment, I should see diffraction? or do I have to use something like a lazer? I would think that I could use either but the laser would be more effective. Because more waves would be in phase to start...

Coherent Light Waves: Interference & Diffraction Explained

So is this the ability for light waves to add up and subtract interms of interference? But I am confused as to what a non-coherent light sorce would be. I mean is it when the light waves are not organised enough? So there is no effect of interference through diffraction? or is it that there is...
