What would gravity be in these 2 conditions

Would it still be 9.8 m/s^2? I thought that it would be more, don't we need to take into account the rotating force outwards as the Earth spins?

Don't understand rules of continuity/discontinuity with Limits

Hi micromass, The third rule is: Lim ƒ(x) exists x→a I don't understand the statement: H:R→R I do understand H(x) = 0 if x < 0, and H(x) = 1 if x > 1, from looking at the graph. So if something is undefined it is: 2/0 or ∞/0, is 0/0 undefined or is it...

What would gravity be in these 2 conditions

I was wondering about Earth and it's gravity and I came up with these 2 questions... 1.) What would Earth's gravity be if the Earth stopped spining? 2.) What would Earth's gravity be if the Earth stopped spining and there was no other stars or planets that interfered with there gravity...

Don't understand rules of continuity/discontinuity with Limits

Hi, My textbook is giving me 3 rules that must be met to be continuous: I don't understand what my textbook is trying to explain to me, - ƒ is defined at a... -Lim ƒ(x) = ƒ(a)... x→a all i undersdand is that if you draw a graph that is continuous, you must be...

Calculating Projectile Height: 30 Degrees vs. 60 Degrees

Hi, How does one prove that a projectile will shoot 3x higher at 60 degrees that at 30 degrees? And there is no more info available. Here is what i attempted: I gave it 500m/s, 1a.) The formula for maximum time @ 60 degrees: th = (u)(Sin60)/9.8...

What is the angle of an incline with a ratio of 1:25?

Hey, I need to calculate the angle of an incline, But they only give me the ratio of 1:25, The only thing i can think of what to do is, 1 / 25 = 0.04 then 100% x 0.04 = 4 degrees, Im i right in asuming this?
