Electric dipole moment vs electric current dipole moment
I have to estimate the electric dipole moment of an NV center in units of Am. I know that for a regular electric dipole moment it can be estimated using p=ed. With e=1.6*10^-19 and d=0.1 nm (interatomic distance), this however is in units Cm. I don't know how to go to Am- Hamsi

How Do Coupled Adiabatic Pendula Behave?
Homework Statement: An adiabatic pendulum (right) is coupled via a spring with spring contant κ to a normal non-variable pendulum. The pendula have equal mass m and, initially, equal length l . The right pendulum is adiabatically pulled up with frequency ω(t) 1. Derive the equations of motion...- Hamsi

Green's function and the resistance across a Hypercube
Thank you for your response. I think I understand the problem in 2D and now I think I also understand the problem in 3D. For 3D, I got th answer $$ (5/6 )R_0$$. However, I got this answer by using basic things as kirkhoff and rules for resistances in parallel or serie. I did not use greens...- Hamsi

Green's function and the resistance across a Hypercube
Homework Statement: I do know how to solve the resistance network problem in two dimensions. However, in this problem they want it in 3 dimensions and higher and I don't know how to do that Homework Equations: - In the picture you can see the solution to the two dimensional version- Hamsi

RNA-seq data analaysis: probability of making at least one type I error
Thank you for looking at my question! This is the entire problem set. I got stuck on question D. The previous questions (a-c) are not neceassy for question D, Ithink. I would appreciate anything the can get me a step further.- Hamsi

RNA-seq data analaysis: probability of making at least one type I error
In general the probability of getteing at least one type I error is P=1-(1-a)^m. With m being the number of tests and a the probabiliy of getting a type I error. But i do not know how to get an expression with m0- Hamsi
