Instantaneous Center: How to Solve Homework Equations
Instantaneous centre method can be used in any problem. But both methods give the same result. Maybe there's some problem with the signs like mfb said.- harsh_sinha

How can a lateral wind gust create a lateral acceleration?
Linear momentum of a system remains conserved if no external force is acting on the system. This is just the general form of conservation of linear momentum. Suppose external force ia acting along x-axis then linear momentum along y and z axis will remain conserved. The effect of force can only...- harsh_sinha

Ionization Energy of Helium Atom | 24.6 eV
Bohr's model is not applicable for He atom.Besides if we use this equation to calculate IP2 then the result would be twice of the actual value. It would be great if you share the source of this equation.- harsh_sinha

Understanding the Effects of Dielectrics on Capacitance: A Scientific Approach
Battery is like a pumping device. It pumps charge. When connected to a capacitor it pumps charge till steady state is achieved. In steady state when there is no flow of charge we can easily prove that potential difference across the capacitor is constant using Kirchoff's Law.- harsh_sinha

Why Does the Acceleration of a Particle Need to Be Zero for Maximum Speed?
Plot v-t curve for t<4.It would be a parabola open downward.Velocity is maximum at maxima of the curve.Maybe now you can understand why acceleration would be zero.- harsh_sinha

Understanding the Effects of Dielectrics on Capacitance: A Scientific Approach
Battery maintains constant voltage.Since it is removed voltage will change. But there is no flow of charge.Using the relation between Charge ,Potential and capacitance and this information find change in voltage and potential energy.- harsh_sinha

Choose the element in each of the sets you would expect to have the highest IE2
That's a general trend. But there are exceptions. Besides you have to compare IE2.So this can't be used. After 1st Ionisation K attains the EC of nearest noble gas i.e. Argon which means it is highly stable. So IE2 of K is highest. On the other hand if you see Be,Mg,Ca then the outer shell EC of...- harsh_sinha

Kinematics Problem: How High Was Humpty Dumpty's Fall?
It seems like a case of free-fall. u=0,a=g and t is given Use the equation H=ut+1/2at2 But this is what I presume. There isn't any clear information about the motion of Humpty Dumpty.- harsh_sinha
