Theory of Evolution vs. Mechanisms
What is the difference between the Theory of Evolution, and the Mechanisms and Processes of Evolution? If someone could please help me out, that would be great!- havechanged

Graduate I can't get it through my head
If someone were to travel 99% the speed of light and come back 4 years older, I can't see why the people on Earth aren't only 4 years older as well. Since you can't travel that fast, I suppose it doesn't really matter. Wow- Einstein thought up some pretty confusing stuff. Again, I...- havechanged

Graduate I can't get it through my head
Relativity has been so hard for me to understand! One minute, it makes sense, and the next I am lost. I kind of understand how time can go slower based on the view it is taken from, but I can't understand how a person could actually not get older? That is, if the person is going really fast...- havechanged

High School Force vs Weight: Which is Heavier?
Yeah, that is what I was thinking...it is just driving me crazy because I can't collect my thoughts as to the "scientific" reason this is so. Hmm...thanks though!- havechanged

High School Force vs Weight: Which is Heavier?
Hey! Okay, there are a bunch of flies in a capped jar. You place the jar on a scale. The scale will register the most weight when the flies are: A. sitting on the bottom of the jar. B. flying around inside the jar. C. weight of the jar is the same in both cases. I can't...- havechanged

Why Does an Envelope with a Black Dot Appear When I Post?
Why is it that, whenever I post something, the icon on the side is an envelope with a black dot in the middle?!? It looks like I don't want it to be answered!?? Does it have to do with that I am fairly new? Thanks! [?]- havechanged

High School Physics- falling objects, parabola shape
Hey! I know that the horizonal and horizontal motion are unrelated, and the velocity remains the same (if there is no air resistance, friction etc)- this correlates with the whole 'shooting a gun and dropping a bullet at the same time, which one will hit the ground first? They will fall at...- havechanged

Need ideas for a 7th grade science experiment?
Look up stuff on the internet. You are bound to find hundreds of ideas to choose from. I think in the General Physics forum someone asked the same question; maybe you'll want to check that out. Good luck!- havechanged

When Should You Use the Law of Sines and Cosines?
Hey! I just wanted to post what I was getting confused on, concerning Sin and the whole Soh Cah Toa thing. The Law of Siness is sinA = sinB= sinC ---- ---- ---- a b c and the other one was actually the Law of Cosines, which is...- havechanged
