An Electron's Motion: Special Relativity in Action

it's an electric field. Ask yourself this "Is the acceleration always only in the y direction?"

Does anyone else feel like it's all been studied already?

Toilets are way cooler than quantum field theory! To be fair though some of the toilet designs are pretty interesting.

Programs Starting PhD in US Universities at 27 - Is it Too Late?

Oh, I know this particular course, and it is a route that I would very much like to take in the future. I'm interested in how U.S universities would view these particular qualifications since a masters is usually included in a graduate course. Also I'm interested to know if it's possible to...

Is it really a bad idea to do a Masters before doing graduate in the U.S?

Although they aren't so popular I've come across some, also it seems a few American REUs (http://www.surf.caltech.edu/index.html) take international students.

So many Halliday and Resnick Texts, a few questions about different editions, uk

I decided just to go to bookshop at the uni and buy it, I got Principles of Physics 9th Extended Edition, International Student Version. I don't think there would be much if any difference between the content of 'Principles of Physics' and 'Fundamentals of Physics' texts, if there was I think...

Does anyone else feel like it's all been studied already?

I think it's safe to say that many of our current "answers" are far from complete, and also that what we think is the case may not actually be the case and we won't know until someone comes across some previously unnoticed anomaly.

Math vs Physics: Choosing a College Major

Is it really a bad idea to do a Masters before doing graduate in the U.S?

Hi, I've read and been told that it's not a good idea to do a masters (in Europe) before doing a graduate course in the U.S. Is it really a bad idea? would it reduce the chances of getting a place in a graduate program or is it just that it's not required? I understand that it might be...

Becoming a Great Theoretical Physicist by Gerard 't Hooft

Hey, I came across (http://www.staff.science.uu.nl/~hooft101/theorist.html) in which Gerard 't Hooft has written a guide on becoming a good theoretical physicist and was wondering if anyone is using it, and if so d'you like it?

    Impossible to understand physics teacher

I agree completely, and understanding something makes it a whole lot easier to remember. I found in that situation you either have to figure it out yourself, accept it or find someone else who can answer it, the first is definitely the most rewarding of the three (Dopamine!). I came across a...

Need Some Honest Feedback On late Bloomers.

I think Feynman got his for theory. But it's true that you're more likely to get it for applied science.
