Best books for learning differential forms?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to learn differential forms in preparation for a differential topology class that uses Pollack. I think I'll go with Spivak's Calc on Manifolds.

Is Number Theory Really That Useless?

Maybe this is what you feel about math in general. Have you taken real analysis or abstract algebra?

Programs Some questions about double degrees and graduate admissions (in Mathematics)

If your interests are in mathematical logic, then going into philosophy isn't a bad idea at all. Also, your whole plan doesn't make any sense. The entire undergraduate math curricula can't be digested in one or two years. Seeing that you don't even know math at the level of a typical first...

Programs Some questions about double degrees and graduate admissions (in Mathematics)

An additional year of study is not sufficient to make up for your mathematical deficiencies. You need to start over again (i.e. spend four years studying math), if you want to apply to math programs. I really suggest you stick with philosophy.

Best books for learning differential forms?

Can someone recommend a good textbook for learning differential forms for someone with an understanding of calculus at the level of Spivak? Thanks.

    Prerequisites for graduate complex analysis?

I'm wondering whether I could take graduate level complex analysis this spring. I planned on taking complex variables (undergraduate course), but unfortunately it conflicts with another course I want to take. I'm currently taking basic real analysis (not at the level of Rudin), point-set...

I don't think your electives matter too much in the 9th grade; heck take basket weaving.

Programs Preparing for a Finance PhD Program: What It Takes

Urch Forums is a great resource for advice on preparation for graduate studies in economics or finance. I've been told the strongest signal, course wise, for ad coms is getting an A in real analysis (undergrad and grad if possible). So if you haven't already, I'd take analysis...

What course should I take for my fifth semester: Quantum, Analysis, or Lab?

Unless you have some important lecture tomorrow in advanced calc, you might want to come to analysis and see what it's like.

Difficulty of Topology vs Differential Geometry

So I need to decide by tomorrow, whether I'll be taking topology or diff geo, (along with real analysis and advanced linear algebra). I've sat in on both classes for the first lecture, and I'm still not certain which class would be more difficult. My diff geo class has no exams, and instead...

    I'm 16 and need/want a life in Physics.

First off, you don't "need" a life in physics. I can see that you want one, but studying physics won't be anything like watching science channel documentaries. And your math skills at the point are abysmal. Can you at least solve this equation? 5x + 3 + 2x = 31
