Solve Spring Oscillation: Find Max Speed & Kinetic Energy
1. A 0.50 Kilogram block attached to an ideal spring with a spring constant of 80 N/m oscillates on a horizontal frictionless surface. The total mechanical energy 0.12 Joules. What is the greatest speed of the block. If somebody could just point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it...- isaacsquared

Calc based physics spring problem
1. A force of 10 N holds an ideal spring with a spring constant of 20 N/m in compression. The potential energy stored in the spring is what? 2. F=kx 3. I really am stumped. If I had the length of the spring then it'd be easy peasy (well... it still probably is. What am I missing?)- isaacsquared
