Graduate Unified Theory of Everything - Figured Out
OMG, I was posting a quite lengthy reply, and because I took a while to make it, my session timed out, and I lost everything I wrote. How frustrating. Can I set my timeout limit on here, or is it set in stone? I will know now to type elsewhere and copy and past when ready, but that is hugely...- itwillend

Graduate Unified Theory of Everything - Figured Out
Thank you... I am trying to show how the biology of the human body and how it operates in a world of physics and natural selection will help us tie together even macro problems involving the universe at large. Because I lack the skill to articulate this in mathematics I can only try to...- itwillend

Graduate Unified Theory of Everything - Figured Out
Respectfully, thanks for the reply. Seemingly arbitrary in nature asking about aging humans and then balloon theory, but they are actually geared towards one point. I guess I will never get anyone to help me understand what is in my head. Thanks anyways...- itwillend

Graduate Unified Theory of Everything - Figured Out
OK so let's forget my silly notion that I have it figured out. My head hurts so bad right now, I just want to lay down... Hopefully you all don't mind some basic questions here instead: Why do we age? Has science figured this out yet? I mean I know we know what happens as we break down, but as...- itwillend

HA ha , too funny, thanks though Well if you are any good at probability, than you already know the answer :) Ouch :( Thank you, option 2 sounds great...- itwillend

Graduate Unified Theory of Everything - Figured Out
We all have read that a single theory to possibly fit on a diner napkin or small note card could be available sometime. My question to you all, is how does a non-scientist person go about having a legitimate scientist test a theory. If I have it figured out, and will require the help of a...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Side note guys and gals... Is there an implication in the thread that morals are not absolute? If I may, would you all not agree at the very least among humans without mental deficiency that a life free from harm is universally agreed upon? I find that concept alone to be common for everyone...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Sure, I would say that is how natural selection works. Completely random. Comparing a unified theory with something like human consciousness, are we dealing with randomness and natural selection still?- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Free will is obviously to vague of a term to have much of a meaningful conversation. In your post you point out that humans can go against the grain at any given moment, completely random of the past. However, this assumes a certain meaning for free will. A separate thread would be needed for...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Biblically speaking and philosophically speaking I have yet to see a compelling argument for such a thing as free will. In the sense that it is anything more than being able to choose what color socks one wants to wear. From simple observation it appears ultimately we have no free will, because...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
All I was saying is it is a little ironic, that science can almost isolate our existence to a single force. That's all. What we call that force, I don't really care. It might as well be God, because the term God is really just a place holder for the source of life. Is it not?- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Sure Max, on the surface this would be/should be the case. After all what does an Ark have to do with gravity? It could be developed further though, because aside from these four forces we aim to unify, we have other aspects to consider like consciousness, purpose (if any), morals (intrinsic...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
Is your response assuming that I am limiting the god-concept to just this one aspect "unified theory"? I mean, the irony to what I am saying is, our greatest physicists would like to find a unified theory, a single force behind it all. At the same time, monotheistic religions believe one God...- itwillend

Unified Theory & God: A Search for a Single Force?
It seems I posted this same post in the wrong area before. So maybe someone might be interested in discussing the topic on this section of the forum. My curiosity is about the quest or search for a Unified Theory and ultimately what it means. From reading Hawking's on the subject, it seems to...- itwillend

Undergrad Newton's Second Law: Force, Mass, and the World's Fate
OK, supposing that pre-Newtonian thought, where it was thought things that were bigger or heavier would travel faster than objects smaller or lighter. Would the universe still work in similar ways as it does now. I guess what I am getting at is, does the universe have to act in the way it seems...
