Hi, so I am a pizza delivery driver and have to carry a pen and clip board so people can sign credit card slips. Is there a way I can sterilize them between customers so I'm not spreading colds and flus around?

So theoretically one could heat a metal to a gas, ioniz it then use it to coat a surface with a thin layer of metal?

Thats what I thought. So when say a metal plasma decays does it recrystalise into a solid?

Ok so I have an odd question. I have been trying outs Zink plating instead of copper to see how it behaves and so far it is plating to my graphite rod but it is a dull grey color. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Hum well it sounds like some thing I can build but I don't think it's wise to to build it on my kitchen table, so I will have to wait till later to try it.

Can I make a metal evaporator out of things around the house or will I need to hit up eBay ? I get the principal but not the practice...

At the moment I don't have any of the normal tools to measure current and the like, but current was flowing. I know that because the LED I hooked up in one of the lead wires lit up. that's not much current but it is something.

Well the paper didn't melt but the graphite didn't pick up any metal. Just to make sure that my set up was working I attached a an inch long piece of pencil lead and it is covered in copper. It's quite an irregular plating but it's working. Any idea why the paper didn't plate?

I don't know why but I thought it would be far more complicated then that.

How did you apply the graphite?
