it is the form that energy takes as it leaves (is emitted) from the atom. I am told by a nuclear physicist that I must use math to explain this part...but I don't require math for the basic concept...here it is.
Imagine being the atom and blowing a bubble that does not come out of a loop with...
Thanks Ron... Yeah, you caught me. I was told to wiggle out the best way you can when you get caught... Ha! This stuff has changed since I delved in it. I need to read more. I was taught that electrons moved through wires, never questioning it, or Newton's Gravity. Einstein's Theory is...
Again I stand corrected. I was using the term "mass" in my correction to indicate a scalar quantity, rather than as a physical descriptor. I haven't done this stuff for years, it's not my field since being involved in the electronics necessary to locate Russian subs using magnetic anomaly...
I stand corrected, I should have more correctly stated "mass charge". I am old, I still visualize this stuff the way I learned it long ago...when I worked in a small office reading about people's ideas for perpetual motion, or the alchemy concept of making gold from lead...thanks for the...
You have to consider the physics to come up with your answer intuitively. What is happening? Mass is increasing on one plate, causing an electrostatic charge differential between the plates. As the mass builds, it repels further flow because like charges on the that plate repel further current...
Perhaps the thing to do is to solve for x in terms of y? I don't fully understand this either. You could isolate x on the left and that might be what is being asked? Not sure? will look forward to the correct solution.
Interesting stuff. I talked to an Aeronautical Engineer from NASA about a year or so ago, he told me that when they impacted the Moon the reason water was identified was because someone had left a bottle of Naive water, ..sorry Evian water in the rocket. He was probably kidding right?
If the ice is floating it is only displacing it's equal weight. If submerged it is displacing volume. If it has trapped air in the ice, the volume will decrease when it melts and the air is no longer contained. In that case the water level would be less. To answer the question empirically...
I appreciate your knowledge and the references on the subject.
It was the scientific response mentioned in the article here, "http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,2085558,00.html that gave rise to my assumption because it appears these scientists seem to be suggesting that questions...
Thanks ryan_m_b I did post on the "ask a stupid question ..." forum on Saturday I believe it was. I only had one reply in my email but not yours.
Anyway, I read that hypthothesis you referenced in wikipedia. It does mention that there are some unresolved concerns with that particular...
