How can I find the coefficient of friction for an object on an inclined plane?

Homework Statement So I have and inclined plane at 1 degrees, and on top of it, there is an object 361grams. I gradually increase the angle of the inclined plane, and just at 20 degrees, the object starts to slide down. How do I find out the coefficient of friction? Any help would be...

Inclined Plane Friction: Independent of Mass?

Thanks, I just checked again and realized that the friction COEFFICIENT is independent of the mass, not the friction.

Inclined Plane Friction: Independent of Mass?

I heard somewhere that friction on an inclined plane is independent of the mass of the object. However on youtube, it says Ffmax is mgcos alpha. How is this correct, because it will mean the friction in not independent of the mass of the object. Thanks a lot.

Force and Energy(this is really confusing)

So I learned that if you sit on a chair, you are applying downwards force because of gravity, and the chair is applying an upwards force to stop you from falling down. However I thought that if you remove the chair, you would fall, but when you get off the chair, why doesn't the chair fly into...
