High School Does a full 3TB hard drive weigh more than an empty one?
as far as I know no chemical reactions occur in this process like the book, a hard drive merely rearranges electron to create storage spaces etc. SO no, it wouldn't weigh any more than a brand new one.- Jesvant

Electron don't repel becuse they are orbiting, hence their attraction to the proton in the nucleus is more than their repulsion- Jesvant
