Illusion that appears to be suspended
I need to explain how I would create an image or illusion that appears to be suspended in air using mirrors or lenses. I got the other 2 parts to the problem of images that appear along side of and parallel to, but cannot find in the readings anything about what type of lens I would use for...- jillz

Mass of earth to use in calculation?
If the mass of the Earth = 5.9742 × [SIZE="4"]1024 kilograms how do you use this in a calculation? When trying to solve for gravitational force exerted between two objects, you need a M1 & M2. If the M2 is the mass of earth, how do you solve it? M1 = 48.5 kg M2 = 5.9742 ×...- jillz

Angle of inclination of the projectile: θ
'u' is the variable for what?? if 'a' is acceleration and I'm not supposed to use 'u', then shouldn't the equation be d=at+(1/2)at^2 ??- jillz

Angle of inclination of the projectile: θ
d = at + ½ a t^2 Horizontally: 7.12m = a cos θ t at = 7.12m/ cos θ Vertically: 10m = a sin θ t + ½ g t^2 10m = (7.12m/ cos θ ) *sin θ + ½ g t^2 = 7.12m tan θ + ½ g t^2 10m = 7.12m tan θ + ½ g t^2 10m = 7.12m tan θ + ½ g 1.1^2g Solve for θ Angle of inclination of the...- jillz

Graduate How Can Gravity and Electromagnetism Be Unified Through a Rank 1 Field Theory?
ok; lots of great info, but what is the effect of mass on height?? ok; lots of great info, but what effect does mass have on height?? If all parameters remain constant except the mass varies from 1kg to 10kg, the maximum height remains the same, so what's the effect of mass on height?- jillz

Crash test dummies don't always wear seat belts.
Would it be this calc?? Units of Momentum and Impulse Impulse, being the product of force and time, has units Ns. Momentum, we discovered this morning, has units of kgm/s. Since our equation states that changes in momentum are equal to the applied impulse, it follows that Ns must be equivalent...- jillz

what other info should I look for? I don't have any additional info; just the 3 other questions from the page...do they all use the same type of formula?? what other info should I look for? 1. What acceleration does Chris give his 0.48 kg Physics book, when he accidentally knocks it off a...- jillz

Crash test dummies don't always wear seat belts.
Crash test dummies don't always wear seat belts. If a 78 Kg dummy, in a car traveling at 53 Km/h, hits a concrete barrier, what is the force applied to the dummy?- jillz

How Does Lowering Density Affect Trajectory?
So I would use the calculation: s = ut + ½ a t2 to find the distance the rider/bike would fall from the highest point down to the ramp??- jillz

How Does Lowering Density Affect Trajectory?
With all of the calculations/data below, is it still possible to calculate the dimensions for the motorcycle falling/landing from the jump? Or is more data needed? What type of calculation would be used to find the dimensions for the total height the stuntrider/cycle will fall before hitting the...- jillz
