Horror Movies that give you chills

IIRC she is wallowing in the attention, playing up to others for their sympathy, Manipulation and self gratification of unthinkable degree . that was my take. I'm no psychologist, though old jim

Horror Movies that give you chills

"Sixth Sense" Chills come not from the ghosts but the horrid toxic "Munchausen syndrome by Proxy" mother who poisons her child to get sympathy for herself.

What is better to feed a 500W asynchronous motor?

A question well stated is half answered. This one is neither. Always define your terms.By aerogenerator i assume you mean windmill as opposed to an aircraft generator. What do you mean by "better" ? A garden variety motor won't know the difference between generators so long as voltage and...

Characterizing a CT via a major B-H loop?

i tend to agree with you. Chan did it for a plain vanilla transistorized mutivibrator , his fig 7, which has been around since at least the 1950's. But you're pushing your core a LOT harder than does that circuit. and i doubt Chan's model will hold up - there's not enough of a memory term in...

Characterizing a CT via a major B-H loop?

A 400 series tainless steel shaft approx 3 inch diameter excited with a 3 hz triangle wave current(top) note rounded corners of voltage wave(bottom)your 43 should be MUCH faster Thanks, Fair-Rite corp !

Characterizing a CT via a major B-H loop?

Doesn't that seem logical ? If you push the core further into saturation, it gets harder to pull it back out. Great technique I've used it myself. I used a megohm and 1 μf, did you see much 60hz noise on your flux signal ? Just found it. It's a handful to digest at one sitting...

Chernobyl Did Chernobyl divers prevent a multi megaton explosion?

While that's quite plausible it's as yet speculation for the reason @anorlunda mentioned - dilution of the fuel by whatever else got melted into the ball. Dropping such a ball of hot molten metal and fuel into water would increase its reactivity all right, but i believe the mechanism would be...

    Ground faults in ungrounded systems

Yes, knowledge is humbling isn't it ? Appreciation of the abysmal depth of our ignorance is the beginning of wisdom...Yes you are basically correct in your analysis But you flipped a sign. That's why we must be rigorous in applying Mr Kirchoff's gifts to us, 'the basics' . It's...

    Ground faults in ungrounded systems

The simple answer to that question is "Yes" . I really recommend you get a copy of "IEEE Green Book", standard 142. Its early chapters explain clearly the basic principles on which the practice of grounding is built. Familiarity with it makes a lot of the mysteries of the NEC disappear. Once...

Beauty of old electrical and measuring things, etc.

Sounds incongruous at first. But - why not ? It'd make for interesting experiments. A tiny accelerometer right under the bridge perhaps... I guess it's no more outlandish than my kids' Bluetooth turntable wow, i thought his was startling enough... Roll Over, Beethoven ! old jim

    Supplier for coaxial electric motor

A quick Google search on 'coaxial motor' turned up a plethora of offers to sell, but scant explanations or drawings of the offerings. Most were RC Hobby style. I cannot imagine a single mechanism that'd produce opposing rotations, everything I've seen employs gears of some sort. There's...

High pitched noise with some elctronics

I think in early 50's they were much noisier. We kids could walk around the block and tell from the sidewalk whose TV was on. If it was a friend's house we'd knock on the door and ask to come in for "Adventure Time" or "Hopalong Cassidy". This was ca 1950-1951.
