When the heaviest elements such as element 118 (Oganesson) are created, the production is described as a a collision of an ion projectile (eg calcium-48) with a target atom (eg californium 249). Undergrad What Are Tetraquarks and Why Are They Important?
I understand that these exotic particles are termed X Y and Z, and that the Y(4140) was recently renamed X(4140) by the Particle Data Group . Can someone explain the difference between X Y and Z please?- Jimtaff
