What do you think of this concept?

I agree with you about Marco Biagini. I too thought he was a rather poor debater/arguer,whatever you want to call it. I thought maybe he was just not very well gifted at making long statements of hypothesies and /or statements/logical conclusions. I do apollogize for the reference.

What do you think of this concept?

oops,I got it backwards  I don't know how to change it but I made the poll options backwards. I meant: "yes", "no",and "no, and I also believe in..." I must be more carefull next time. Can I correct this?

What do you think of this concept?

Marco Biagini who has a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics has a different view. His thoughts about cosciousness can be read at: http://xoomer.virgilio.it/fedeescienza/englishnf.html CSDC If it is all right to post this then here is an excerpt from his site:"... The laws of physics prove that the...

What aspects of our everyday reality can be considered illusions?

the smallest things ------------- I have to agree about consciousness. When I try to imagine the smallest things, I see what we call "commands" as having to be that. It is much easier for me to believe that the existence of "things" is dependant upon "consciousness" rather than the opposite.

What aspects of our everyday reality can be considered illusions?

I have also wondered how it is that we perceive "color" and "sound", and feel "heat and cold", and "pain and pleasure". I would say that "color" does not exist outside of the observer, only electromagnetic vibrations of various frequencies which we interpret as color. The same idea applies to...

What do you think of this concept?

post script This is a post script to my pevious post. I originally proposed the idea that something we refer to as "mind" or "thought" is responsible for stuff that we reefer to as "matter" and with that proposed premise in mind asked the question "can you prove that I am not a figment of your...

What do you think of this concept?

have you been able to search EVERYWHERE? Is it possible there are places where the evidence lies that is not reachable by you,the searcher. I do appreciate your feedback. I am maybe not as educated as many of you and it is more my goal to ask questioins than it is to argue, however I still...

Gravity Leak: Testing the Theory w/ Earth-Moon Mirrors

maybe I'm too simple minded, not knowing a lot of advanced math, but if matter were to be viewed as a hole in space/time,and space/time flowed into the hole then there would be currents flowing into all the holes and the dencer the matter, the stronger the flow into the hole and the current...

Poll: Something from nothing or something eternal

a bored God? You might be right. Possibly 'God' was extremely bored and went to sleep and dreamed it all, the universe as we know it. when he fell asleep he became unaware that he 'was' and that is the 'nothing' that everyone seems to wonder about before the universe was born. =-JL...

Poll: Something from nothing or something eternal

I wonder if there is another clue in that we can use the word 'experience' in reference to subjective happenings as well as to events in space/time which we can also call objects. Even if we were to know the answer to the question of existence it would not be of much relavence to very many of...

Poll: Something from nothing or something eternal

I would have to say "something"in that contxt would have to point to the fact of existence, which is readily proven by the fact that some or something could ask such a question. Logic this then, that "something" that "exists" regardless of whether or not it is a singularity with "no thing(s)"...

    Science Humor: A Wide Selection

The most important piece of advice [for aspiring physicists] is to keep your sense of wonderment alive - Dr. Michio Kaku There must be no barriers for freedom of inquiry. There is no place for dogma in science. The scientist is free, and must be free to ask any question, to doubt any...

What do you think of this concept?

I am new at here at PF and originally posted part of this in an inappropriate forum then added a few words and moved it here but didn't like it as it read so I deleted it and started a fresh thread. I was very tired and about to drop one night when I had a strange thought about where did...
