Is a Photon the Smallest Particle Known?

Wait I lied, I actually sent this post as a private message because I thought you very smart guys would think I was thick, ( clearly was right). The person I messaged wouldn't give me a answer just told me to write it in a post on here, last post I swear :) bye.

Is a Photon the Smallest Particle Known?

Surly there is a different way to interact with people than this prickly knee jerk reaction way, why would I be not listening ?? Maybe I am not understanding ?? This will be my last post on here as I clearly lack the knowledge to proceed in conversation about the subject.

Is a Photon the Smallest Particle Known?

The CERN collider thingy majig in Switzerland yeah I've heard of this, don't know the exact workings of it though just the basics. They fire subatomic particles at each other through tubes that are under the ground. My questions simple what's the smallest particle ? Only answer I got was that...

So the smallest particle is unknown then ?

Is a Photon the Smallest Particle Known?

Hi can I ask a question please, is a photon the smallest particle known ? If it is then how do we know there isn't something smaller as the light would blind us from a smaller particle ?.

    Friction and conservation of energy

How does friction lose energy when the conservation of energy law doesn't allow energy to be lost ?? Sorry if this is a stupid question I have tried googling but can't find much to help.

Detecting Photons: Uncovering the Invisible Particles

How can we detect photons without mass ? In the experiment that was showing two photons hitting the detector when only 1 was fired through the slit, how did technology detect photons without mass to hit the detector ?

Erm... Pretty dark, won't have the light pollution of somewhere like New York. I live in a town just off Liverpool (pretty rural area).

Hi thanks for the message, I over-shot the price lol. Must have been more near £100 unless the price has dropped over the years. Here's the exact one I have :) www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/pd/Danubia-Merkur-60A-Refractor-Astro-Telescope_567065.htm I feel like I am getting close to seeing...

Shame, it did say I could see Saturn's rings and Jupiter on the description. The moon looks great anyway lol

Why can't I see anything from my telescope ? The moon looks great but besides that I can't find anything ? It's really cheap think it was Around £200.

How fast must you travel to get to Sirius in 15.5 years?

So on one hand (the rules) conform. The other hand possibly (assuming) a young enthusiastic student not getting a answer because of bureaucratic procedures. You made it clear that he was posting in the wrong part of the forum, ok that's fine. Are we just ignoring the question/person now ?
