Computing Fourier Series for Odd Functions
Homework Statement f(t)= -1 if -∏ < t ≤ 0 1 if 0 < t ≤ ∏ f(t+2∏) = f(t) question asks to compute first 3 non-zero terms in Fourier series expansion of f(t) Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution since this is an odd function i used the Fourier sine series...- kiwifruit

Simplifying Inverse Laplace Transform of s/(s+4)^4
i would say laplace of e^at = 1/(s-a) or laplace of cos(at) = s/(s^2 + a^2) is similar to the question but i don't see how to simplify or factorize it to something workable- kiwifruit

Simplifying Inverse Laplace Transform of s/(s+4)^4
Homework Statement the questions asks to determine inverse laplace transform of s/(s+4)^4 Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution this can supposedly be done just using laplace transform tables so I am guessing i need to simplify that to something that's workable but i...- kiwifruit

Finding quadratic maclaurin polynomial
Homework Statement the question asks to find the quadratic maclaurin polynomial for f(x) Given f(x) = x sin(x)The Attempt at a Solution i know that a maclaurin series is when a=0 in a taylor series. i did the 1st-5th derivatives of f(x) and then used the formula for taylor polynomial and set...- kiwifruit

Radius & interval of convergence of power series
Homework Statement i was doing this exercise and came across this example. ∞ Ʃ (x^n)/ln(n+1) n=1 The Attempt at a Solution i know you have to do the ratio test which is lim | a(n+1)/a(n)| n>∞ i got to lim | [x ln(n+1)] /ln(n+2) | n>∞ and have no idea how to continue? is...- kiwifruit

The Velocity of Block B Relative to A
After applying force P, block B accelerates to the right at 3m/s^2 When B has velocity of 2m/s determine: 1.The velocity of B relative to A 2.The acceleration of B relative to A 3.The absolute velocity of point C The image attached show how this works. I worked out the total length,L to...- kiwifruit

Find Matrix of Linear Transformation T w/ Respect to Basis B
I came across this problem in one of my linear algebra books. A linear transformation T:R^3 ->R^3 has matrix 2 3 0 -1 1 2 2 0 1 with respect to the standard basis for R^3. Find the matrix of T with respect to the basis B={(1,2,1),(0,1,-1),(2,3,2)} The answer given is...- kiwifruit
