I think you should take your mother to see a doctor for assessment coz there are a number of reasons for these behaviours. The doctor will take a more thorough history, do physical exams and appropriate investigations before s/he can make a correct diagnosis and help your mother. Take care Jack

My friends prepared TOEFL by doing lots of sample tests or past test papers. There should be lots of resources in libraries. I think TOEFL score is needed if you want to study in the UK as well, not only in USA. TOEFL isn't a tough exam if you have good English foundation. Good luck.
