    Hi all: Getting back into Physics so doing self study. Having an issue with Spivak's solution to Problem 1, v. x^n - y^n= (x-y)(x^n-1+x^n-2y+...+xy^n-2+y^n-1 Got all the way to: x^n+x^2y^n-2-x^n-2y^2-y^n How do i get rid of the middle section?
