Solving the Tumor Growth Problem: Find B_0, a & More

I'm assuming I'm in your class (lol). Can you explain how you were able to solve this? I tried solving for B0, got 3/10. Tried solving for P, got e^(-Be^(-at))/a Plugging B and 2P into the equation for P gives a lambertW function which I'm assuming is far beyond the scope of DE.

Inability to memorize anything-starting to haunt me

Small update. Just took my final. Couldn't recall most of the "memorization" things (formulas, common trig integrals/derivatives) despite knowing all of them by heart yesterday. Probably failed. Maximum frustration! I'm really hoping further courses don't require this much memorization...

Navigating the Challenges of a Mechanical Engineering Degree

To be blunt, raising a child is not really a full time job (unless your daughter has a disability, for which I am sorry). Ideally your wife should be working while you kill two birds with one stone and watch your daughter while studying (with breaks, of course). I only say this because a couple...

How to get 100% in Physics course?

The only people I know who got 100% on most/all tests were those who were retaking the class or learned the material in their home country and for whatever reason couldn't skip the course. The best advice I can give is to GO OVER YOUR TEST WITH YOUR PROFESSOR. Most of the time you end up with a...

Schools Should I take Vector Calculus before General University Physics?

The only calculus my general physics course used was to; a) derive the kinematic equations (extremely simple) b) using partial derivatives to perform error analysis on labs (fairly simple) Both which can be learned in less than an hour. My professor taught us vector multiplication, but it was...

Inability to memorize anything-starting to haunt me

Thanks for the responses. I do end up trying to derive most of the common trig integrals, but time simply does not allow for it in most cases. Most of the time I can handle the "easy" functions (cos/sin/tan)--the "triangle" takes me about a minute--but when a hyperbolic inverse csc comes...

Inability to memorize anything-starting to haunt me

Inability to memorize anything--starting to haunt me To get right to the point, I am currently getting a C in the dreaded calc 2. It is because I simply cannot drill anything into my head. The center of mass formulas, the arc length formula, the surface area formula, error bound formulas, most...
