Graduate Form of Lorentz Transformation Using West-Coast Metric
This is a fairly trivial question I think. I'm only asking it here because after some googling I was unable to find its answer. I was at one point led to believe that the form of the Lorentz-transformation matrix is dependent on the convention used for the Minkowski metric. Specifically it...- LittleSailor

Testing How much does improvement in GPA compensate for initially low GPA?
I'm applying to grad school wanting to do experimental high-energy physics. My first semester of college, I got a 3.0. Keep in mind at this point, I wasn't taking any physics. I've started getting better grades as my study skills have improved and as I've started taking more physics and math...- LittleSailor

Schools Safety grad school for experimental particle physics
University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Tennessee in Knoxville, University of Wisconsin, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and Rutgers--not all of those are for sure, and certainly there are some there that I have little chance of getting into. Now I'm really looking for more attainable ones...- LittleSailor

Schools Safety grad school for experimental particle physics
I'm a senior undergrad and will be applying to grad school soon. The field I'm interested in is experimental high-energy physics. There are already about six schools I'm looking at applying to, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about possible safety schools. My overall GPA is about...- LittleSailor
