So that cloud is just hot gas? Isn't it something like a MACHO? My teacher told me that that picture wasn't hot gas, but something else and I'm trying to find out what. Well then, can someone explain what a MACHO or a WIMP is anyway without using much astronomical terms?

Well, Einstein came up with the theory of Relativity, but how does the theory relate to the universe? What is link? How does it explain the universe? If I'm still not making any sense, just say it and I'll try to explain myself again. Btw, that was actually a question my teacher asked...

How was Einsteins understanding of the universe formed by his theory of relativity?

Why do you have to observe these things in order to explain that redshift is not from expanding space-time but from galaxy's flying away from each other? Or do I need heavy phisics to understand (I'm not a physisist or stronomer so)? I'm trying to understand what made people (Hubble) back...

I know that Hubble observed redshift which led to the conclusion that space was expanding. But why did redshift lead to such conclusion? Why didn't they just think that galaxy were "flying" away from each other instead of thinking that it was the space that was actually expanding? What made...

Was Hubble also the first one to measure the age of the universe? (by using Hubble's law)

So if I want to explain the expanding universe to someone I should first talk about Hubble and then Friedmann? (keeping all the other things aside for now)
