Graduate NonHomogeneous Second Order using Undetermined Coefficients
Hi all, I understand the basic concept of undetermined coefficients, but am a little lost when g(t) in the equation yll+p(t)yl+q(t)y=g(t) is a product of two functions. The specific problem I'm working on is as follows: yll-2yl-3y=-3te-t When I solve for the homogeneous set of solutions I...- Lucci

Evaluate an Integral - No Clue
If you separate (1-sin(x)/cos2(x)) you can do the following... x(1/cos2(x) - sin(x)/cos2(x)) = x(sec2(x)-tan(x)sec(x)) = ∫xsec2(x) - ∫xtan(x)sec(x) Now you can use integration by parts on both integrals?- Lucci

Finding the curve of graph intersections
Aye. I apologize. I'm still getting used to this thing. This is the picture of the graph... And when I mean a circle, I sort of imagine parameterized curves as being drawn by a moving t value. This t value will go in a circle around the z axis (x2+y2 while simultaneously moving up and...- Lucci

Finding the curve of graph intersections
Homework Statement A circular cylinder of radius 1 and the hyperbolic paraboloid, z=y2-x2, intersect. Which vector function r(t)=x(t)i+y(t)j+z(t)k has the curve of intersection as its graph if x(0)=0. Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution I know that intersection is a...- Lucci
