Forum 56 Removed: Time Travel Forum
Thank you. The reason I asked was that I have a time travel message board myself and in our portal section we had a link to the mkaku.org Time Travel forum. I now have it replaced by the PF. I noticed the threads from the original forum survived and are now moved to other PF forums like...- MadIce

Graduate Time Travel: Paradox, Parallel or Repetitive?
Parallel Universes Some theories state that parallel universes are not created when you make that turn. They were already there. See http://www.hep.upenn.edu/~max/multiverse.html by Max Tegmark. The theory goes hand in hand with eternalism in which the past, present and future are all actual...- MadIce

Is Time Travel Just a Concept?
Color is a concept which can be described by physics as a light wave. That does not make it a dimension. But there is no need to descibe it that way. You are free what to believe, but the fact that you feel time is not a dimension, doesn't prove anything. So, thanks for sharing you don't...- MadIce

Is Time Travel Just a Concept?
There seem to be 3 views of time. In presentism only temporally present objects are real. The past no longer exists and the future does not exist yet. Obviously in that view there will not be any time travel. In possibilism (sometimes called the "growing block" or "growing universe") the past...- MadIce

There is an article related to that subject and the various views about the concept of past, present and future. It's phylophical in nature, but so is your subject. You may find it an interesting read. Being and Becoming in Modern Physics by Steven Savitt.- MadIce

Graduate Traveling Back in Time: Breaking Einstein's 4 Dimensions
Stephen Hawking was once joking about the subject. He believed time travel wasn't possible and said: It seems that there is a Chronology Protection Agency which prevents the appearance of closed timelike curves and so makes the universe safe for historians. -- Stephen Hawking. However, in...- MadIce
