High School What happens to a fan inside a system without air?
" Namely, the scientists suspected that heat was being emitted by the spacecraft 's generators anisotropically — more in one direction than the other." The heat is not emitted at the same rate in every direction, that's exactly what's causing the acceleration.- magicacid

High School What happens to a fan inside a system without air?
O, yes I've read about this in "the trouble with physics" by Lee Smolins, as a possible proof that relativity is not as universal as we thought. But it seems it'S simpler than that- magicacid

High School Driving a car onto a semi while both are in motion
Without any experiments I would say that the car will move at 55+60=115MPH, relative to the ground, and at 5MPH relative to the truck. Is that right? -

High School The workings of a Stirling engine
Hi As a school project, I want to construct a Stirling engine (particularly this kind : http://monsterguide.net/how-to-build-a-stirling-engine ). The execution is quite simple, but I do not fully understand the theoretical background. Can someone give me an explanation?- magicacid

Any books/articles for evolutionary stable strategy models in humans?
For further information on social evolution, and strategies, I'd recommend Susan Blackmore : The meme machine. I very much enjoyed it after the Selfish Gene- magicacid
