Engineering Pure science degree Vs Engineering (or both)
Well I don't particularly want to study for years and come out earning next to nothing!... but I do understand what you mean. Well the chemistry and chemical eng course barely overlap except for a few courses... I am interested in doing research, but this may change in the future (so chem eng...- Maplesyrup

Engineering Pure science degree Vs Engineering (or both)
Hi all, I have loved science since primary school and want to pursue it as a career, but as I also love building things I was thinking engineering. The good salary also pushes me towards engineering. So I thought I had decided on chemical engineering, but I was afraid that the course would...- Maplesyrup

So its the accretion disc having the magnetic tug rather than the actual black hole. Thanx a lot makes a lot more sense:D- Maplesyrup

Graduate How Does Magnetism Influence Black Holes Despite Escape Velocity Challenges?
I read recently that magnetism plays an important role in cramming all that matter into a black hole. But how is it possible that magnetic force could escape a black hole, having an escape velocity higher than the speed of light, therefore an impossibility of matter(or energy) escaping?- Maplesyrup
