Has the Human Brain Ever Seen the True World?
That concept of all processes working together to achieve "triangulation" is real insight. Humans need biofeedback to become oriented to their environment. I am trying to come up to speed on neuroscience, and there seems to be anecdotal evidence that strange things occur between the conscience...- mapsurfer

Has the Human Brain Ever Seen the True World?
Yeah Holograms to create Hyperspace... A actual Holodeck would be ****! The Eye has always fascinated me for a number of reasons. They are windows to the soul according to the Bible, however you can't trust em. To get the real pic... you have to use the 3rd Eye... Regards, -map- mapsurfer

Defining Supernatural & Natural: Quantum Physics & Beyond
Hmm... makes me think... *If* the Earth were annihilated, would there be nobody to observe or measure reality? Phlip dick's statement would have his version of reality stuck in memory. (Hope he has a backup) I wear my sunglasses at night. Regards, -map- mapsurfer

Defining Supernatural & Natural: Quantum Physics & Beyond
Maybe the supernatural could be proven by way of a "miracle"... Much has been written about it. CS Lewis certainly gave it a lot of thought. Things that do NOT occur within nature or cannot be explained by natural process, are supernatural. Could a "miracle" be considered a scientific...- mapsurfer

Medical Can Our Brain's Limited Perception Cause Visual 'Blank-Outs'?
Hallucinations are kind of like this... Visual gets whacked/blacked out. I've always assumed it was related to receptor interference of some sort.- mapsurfer

Unbelievable Spider Anomaly: Survived Underwater for Days!
The skimmer is about 10 inches deep and the basket extends into it about 8". The spider was in the very bottom of the basket. just sitting there on the bottom. The vortex is just heavy suction, like a whirlpool at the top. Reminds me of a mini black hole. I am sure there was quite a...- mapsurfer

Unbelievable Spider Anomaly: Survived Underwater for Days!
No I had been visually observing the spider in the bottom of the skimmer basket for a few days... only noticed him because he was really big but I did not empty the basket for another 2-3 days. Although this wasn't scientific at all, I am in no way exaggerating the the amount of time. I...- mapsurfer

Graduate Could There Be Something Out There?
ooh.. please don't close this topic yet.. Actually this is really thought provoking and downright cool. The principle investigator of these experiments suggests that computer data can be injected into the light stream. She suggests that this could be a new method for making quantum...- mapsurfer

Producing hydrogen using electrolysis while avoiding chlorine poisoning
Hmm... I *think* that sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) electrolyte in distilled water. I think that is pretty safe. My next-door neighbor is a grease burner, and currently experimenting with a hydrogen producing contraption in his diesel truck. How do you plan to store 10 cu meters of... -

Speed of signals in digital phone line?
Electricity at the speed of light? what about resistance, propagation delay, and/or bandwidth? Dont these things factor into the equation? If you really think about it... telephone travels thru copper til it either reaches fiber/microwave or a switch.. there has to be some loss there but...- mapsurfer

What Are Some Tips for Successful Gardening?
This year I gave it a shot... Planted some legal herbs in my little garden, but having a tough time with germination rate of some of my hopefuls... and also the insects are wreaking havoc on a faster growing botanicals.. What a bummer. I thought about insecticides, but I was sort of waiting to...- mapsurfer

Unbelievable Spider Anomaly: Survived Underwater for Days!
Yeah it was just really bizarre to me because this spider had been underwater (not just flitting about the surface, but totally submerged with a heavy suction vortex for several days)... stuck me as a freak of nature, but I guess spiders have evolved or adapted to accomplish this task. Makes...- mapsurfer

Has the Human Brain Ever Seen the True World?
Wow... you got me thinking in whole other direction. There was a good Wiki on Holonomic brain theory. I just wish there was more scientific info on this topic. Any experts out there?? again thanks for the thought provoking notion. Its like a whole other world, brighter than before. -map- mapsurfer
