well you got most of it but i don't know why you are trying 9 and -3 as c. it says y(0) = -3 y = +-4*(x^2+1) + c so y(0) = +-(0^2+1) + c = -3 can you figure it out from here

well since the diameter is 10 when the height is 10 you can define one of them in terms of the other one, then you can take the derivitave wrt that variable. do you know how to do this?

for one you must understand that diamater of the cone is changing with the height.

you would multiply the paticular solution by x^2 when there is a repeated root of multiplicity of 3. In other words if the solution had a triple root of 1. a*e^x + b*x*e^x + c*x^2*e^x

wouldnt cos(x) = (a^2 + b^2 - c^2) / 2ab

you would integrate the original functions M and N M = -2xy^2 + 2y dx N = -2x^2y +2x dy

first you took the derivative wrong it should be -4xy+2 after that you would intergate and combine terms can you do this
