Prestigious Private School vs Honors at State Flagship
I took a number of math classes at the University of Minnesota during high school before going to MIT. Summer 2013 Math and Science REU Thread
As I mentioned upthread I received an accepted from the Symplectic Embeddings on 2/26. My impression is that admissions probably were done on the group level so other groups may be very different. Summer 2013 Math and Science REU Thread
I don't really understand how REUs set their application deadlines. For math most seem to be in early February but many are considerably later than that. The University of Washington's application deadline is April 1st which seems so late that all other offers would have had to be accepted...- mathstudent99
