Solve Force on Wheaties Box from Cheerios Box: Mass, Friction, & Force

Homework Statement A box of Cheerios (mass mC = 1.1 kg) and a box of Wheaties (mass mW = 2.9 kg) are accelerated across a horizontal surface by a horizontal force applied to the Cheerios box. The magnitude of the frictional force on the Cheerios box is 2.0 N, and the magnitude of the...

F_{P} is the force of air resistance on the parachute

I'm confused, if these numbers are correct it seems like the answer would turn out exactly the same. Fp=mg(823.2)-ma(252)=571 Yes?

F_{P} is the force of air resistance on the parachute

Sometimes they put more applicational problems instead of actual computing it was just a total guess. But Newtons law says Fnet=mg-Fp=ma correct? Is that the equation for this type of problem?

F_{P} is the force of air resistance on the parachute

Homework Statement An 84 kg person is parachuting and experiencing a downward acceleration of 3.0 m/s2. The mass of the parachute is 5.5 kg. a) What upward force is exerted on the open parachute by the air? (b) What downward force is exerted by the person on the parachute? Homework...

Projectile Motion of a Baseball Problem

Ok so I found Ymax by taking my Voy^2/2g. I then found the fences height by V^2=Voy^2+2gDeltaY. I am however, stuck on the last part, I know that Delta X is going to be the total distance minus the distance given in the problem of 95.8m. But in order to find total distance I need t total but...

Projectile Motion of a Baseball Problem

No idea where to even begin. None of my numbers are making any sense when I use these equations.

Projectile Motion of a Baseball Problem

[b]1. A baseball is hit at ground level. The ball reaches its maximum height above ground level 3.5 s after being hit. Then 3.0 s after reaching its maximum height, the ball barely clears a fence that is 95.8 m from where it was hit. Assume the ground is level. What maximum height above ground...
