If a Master's went back for a PhD
Some schools have separate requirements for those entering with a bachelors and those who enter with a masters. A few programs require a masters for entry. Master's degree programs can vary from school to school. If you enter a program with a masters, they still take a look at your...- meuphemia

I like math, but I'm bad at it. What should I do?
Your other suggestions are good but I want to point out one thing: There's a difference between lectures in-class and lectures you can watch, rewind, fast forward, and re-watch * infinity online in the comfort of your home or preferred study area. Some of the youtube videos are not full...- meuphemia

I like math, but I'm bad at it. What should I do?
Dobie: I had to check your name to ensure that this post was not made by me a few years ago. You said it yourself--you *can* learn, it's just that you're not learning as fast as everyone else *seems* to, and you can't retain from the lectures you've heard. As InvalidID states, the "retaining...- meuphemia

What is the effectiveness of a lecture-based teaching format?
i am not a khan supporter at all, he does as much harm as he does good HOWEVER i do admire the idea of the flipped classroom. he is not the originator of this concept and it has been around for quite some time. the flipped model works for more learning styles than the traditional lecture...- meuphemia

Programs Computer Engineering Degree without an undergrad?
It's more about having the prerequisite coursework. Each school is different, but in addition to listing basic admissions requirements, many programs will list the specific courses you're expected to have taken *or* have equivalent knowledge to.- meuphemia

Is Math Useless? A Troubling Belief & Its Evidence
OP, I missed a lot of the random responses in here. I think you'd be very well served spending time on youtube and other sites that make online lecture videos available. You should also check out textbooks...seek out the course titles (as you've started to) and find out what texts they're using...- meuphemia

How Do You Take Effective Notes When Learning Mathematics?
I agree; extensive notes are key for me too. I have thought about getting a LiveScribe sort of pen that records my audio as I write. I can then upload my notes and have a digital copy which includes my explanations at key points. The only bad part is that LS itself requires the use of Evernote...- meuphemia

Mastering Student Life: Overcoming Procrastination and Improving Focus on Exams
random thoughts--because i do intend to get some work done tonight: sugar absolutely does have an effect on your energy levels, ability to concentrate, even your daydreams. aside from that, your issues are more anxiety and attention/focus related. you're not likely to get sectioned for...- meuphemia
